What a company should prepare before a cross-border wholesale inquiry
A useful wholesale inquiry explains the business requirement clearly enough for each participant to identify what can be reviewed and what remains undecided.
Describe the company and buying purpose
State the legal entity, operating market, buyer role, intended use or resale context, and the business reason for starting the inquiry.
Define the requested commercial scope
Prepare the category or service scope, indicative quantity, destination, target timing, currency preference, and any known documentation needs.
Separate requirements from assumptions
Mark mandatory conditions, preferred conditions, estimates, and information that still requires qualified or third-party review.
Set an appropriate next step
The next step may be an information exchange, feasibility review, or revised scope. An inquiry does not guarantee sourcing, availability, financing, shipping, or customs clearance.
